In short

A 35m steel hull, motor yacht, 1 Master and 4 double cabins comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. The world famous Wakatobi resort also boast a liveaboard, the Pelagian cruises the reefs and islands of Wakatobi not possible to reach from the resort.

Pelagian Description

The world famous Wakatobi resort also boast a liveaboard, the thirty five metre, motor yacht, Pelagian. Fully rebuilt and refurbished in 2009, to provide a highly comfortable and spacious dive platform, the Pelagian cruises the reefs and islands of Wakatobi not possible to reach from the resort, from Tomia, Kaledupa, Binongko, Hoga, Wanci to Buton thus offering both reefs and muck diving in one cruise.

The Pelagian follows the same successful conservation programme and its staff and dive guides show the same professional knowledge of the marine environment and all the flora and fauna to be found there.

The accommodation comprises of five cabins, one Standard, one Deluxe, two Superlux and one Master Suite, for a total of ten divers.
The Standard cabin features two single beds, the Deluxe, one double and one single bed, the Superlux, a queen bed and the Master Suite a king size bed, spacious lounge, and HD flatpanel TV with Blueray DVD player, and a top of the line rainforest shower.

Every cabin had a large dresser and closets with room for suitcases. The air-conditioning is easily adjustable. The plush bathrobes and towels are luxurious touches and the roomy bathrooms have marble sinks and tiles, glass-enclosed showers with rainshower heads giving plenty of pressure and hot water, and high-end toiletries.

The upper deck could double as a soccer field and offered comfortable seating under a canvas awning or in teak deck chairs. The area afore the cockpit always has a cool breeze and gives a place to hide away and relax after a long days diving. The main deck’s stern is spacious and overall the boat.

The Pelagian allows you to take your diving from the sites around Wakatobi Dive Resort to the reef systems beyond the island of Tomia. New marine life discoveries lay waiting for you and your camera. Exotic and rare marine life can be found on all dives but if you love muck diving, sites like Cheeky Beach and Asphalt Pier are sure to create excitement. If you like sheer cliffs and caves, Tanjung Baturtoro offers something for both wide-angle and macro photographers. But these are only a few of the many and varied sites you’ll visit with Pelagian.

Wakatobi is on the remote and isolated island of Tomia, and is reached by the resorts own private plane, this planes schedule is changeable, which gives the opportunity to stay for between five and twenty days you can combine the experience of resort and liveaboard, by staying on both:

Stay five nights on the resort and six nights on the Pelagian, or visa versa, longer periods can also be arranged, email us to find out what combinations will suit your diving needs.
