Scuba dive Bira Sulawesi and stay at Bira Dive Camp
The dive camp consists of several repurposed traditional houses, all hand-built by craftsmen from the local village helping preserve their cultural heritage. Rustic, comfortable and the perfect way to enjoy the dive camp. Bira Dive Camp has got 2 dorm rooms of 6 beds in each and 4 private houses, shared bathroom facilities.
As the first dive camp in this part of IndoSo as not to interfere too much with the local village they used second hand wood to build all the bungalows, and their mission is also to start a project together with the government to help Bira become a cleaner place and provide an efficient waste management service.
We believe that when you start to learn how to dive you need quantity of dives to really feel comfortable in the water. Therefor we have chosen to include 3 dives/day and you can choose to stay at the camp 1 or 2 weeks, which basically means that you’ll get between 18-36 dives staying with us at Bira Dive Camp.
They also run dive course from Open Water to Dive Master.
If you fancy a change from diving while you are here then there is plenty to keep you occupied, they have a small outrigger canoe you can go fishing in and catch your own dinner, we have a couple of stand up paddle boards, beach volleyball.
In evenings there is a projector where you can watch documentaries and plenty of movies and TV Shows. Even your photos and videos from the day can go on the big screen.
Whenever possible we try to have a Yoga Instructor on at the camp so you can enjoy Beach Yoga on our beautiful sandy beach.
